Jack taught me portraiture at The Camden Arts Center. He was an amazing tutor, patient, funny, kind and inspiring. He told wonderful stories of his exploits during WW2, stories that gave such a human perspective to such terrifying circumstances. jack's main concern as he landed on the beaches of the France under enemy fire, how to keep his precious cigarettes from getting wet!
