Film Editor
My first job out of art school. In my last year there I was sent to Argentina during the Falklands war, my duties included smuggling money and film in from Uruguay and bribing customs officials.
Channel 4 1982 – 1984
Assistant Director / Editor / Sound Recordist
Working with renowned war cameraman Nick Downie, I travelled all over the world making six one hour documentaries about human survival.
MTV Europe 1987 – 1988
Producer / Director
I was part of the team that launched the first MTV channel outside the United States.
The Children's Channel 1988 – 1993
Director / Head of Production
Created Shows, cast talent, hired crews & creatives. Budgeted shows and negotiated funding deals. Managed multiple production teams. Ran the on-air presentation department.
