Barry was the first person to hire me to direct a music video. I had just left art school, he was working at Magnet records. Later I brought him the contract to broadcast The Children's Channel, when he was the MD of Carlton Studios in St John's Wood. A great man, who I thank for believing in me!
Today, Feb 28th 2023, I found out that Barry passed away last June. I am so sorry that I will never get to hear your laugh and see that wonderful smile, that was always waiting to break through. I read in your obituary that you started your career as a ventriloquist. That makes perfect sense to me, you could say so much without moving your lips!
